3 Ways To Get Spilled Wax Out Of Your Carpet

3 Ways To Get Spilled Wax Out Of Your Carpet - The Candleberry® Candle Company

We’ve all been there....you just opened up your NEW shipment of Candleberry Simmering Cake Tart Wax MeltsYou’re so excited to use them as they are already filling your room with fragrance, and you haven’t even taken them out of their box yet!

So with excitement, you scurry on over to your wax warmer and go to clean it out to swap fragrance. Still, then, you accidentally bump the table, the dog is under your feet, or you’re like me, and you’re just plain clumsy, and you trip over your own two feet. That feeling of “oh no!” comes over you as you watch the melted wax fall right onto your carpet. Epic fail!

Don't worry! We're here to be your lifesaver...we can fix this!

Option 1:

First, dampen a paper towel and fold it in half, then lay the paper towel on the spilled wax that's on the carpet and a dry paper towel on top of the dampen one. Then, with an iron set on "HIGH," gently go over the paper towel for about 10 seconds. The heat will pull the wax out of the carpet and into the paper towel. Repeat until the wax is gone. For best results, use a thicker paper towel such as Brawny or Viva.

Option 2:

First, you must fill a plastic bag with ice and put it over the wax spilled on the carpet (press lightly if required). After around 45 seconds, you are going to scrape the wax out of the rug and repeat. Next, vacuum your carpet well and use carpet detergent if you would like.

Option 3:

In a bowl, add ¼ cup of light vinegar and ⅔ cups of water. Next, pour this into the wax and place a paper towel on top. With a steamer, go over the paper towel for a few minutes. This should pull the wax right out.

Any one of these options should do the trick; fret no more - Candleberry's got your back!
