Homemade Dreamsicle Recipe
It’s that time of year where we can officially feel summer on our skin and if you couldn’t tell by our Dreamsicle Cake Pop Candle, we love that this season brings back the nostalgia of those summer days that turned into eating orange dreamsicles under the sun.
Our creamy, vanilla-orange fragrance is just as sweet as the real deal and guaranteed to make you feel like you’re biting into that cold, delicious treat from your childhood.
But because nothing can beat the creamy goodness of an actual dreamsicle - we want to share a recipe with you so that you can make your own:
Ingredients
- 2 cups orange sherbet, slightly softened
- 2 cups vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
- 1 cup fresh orange juice
- ⅔ cup simple syrup
- ½ cup heavy cream
- popsicle molds
Directions
Step 1
Combine sherbet and ice cream in a large ziplock plastic bag. Massage the bag to slightly mix the 2 colors. Make a 3/4-inch cut in the bottom corner of the bag. Squeeze about 3 tablespoons of sherbet mixture into each of 10 (3-oz) popsicle molds.
Step 2
In a small bowl, stir together the orange juice, simple syrup, and cream in a liquid measuring cup. Pour juice mixture into popsicle molds to fill in all the air pockets of the ice cream. Insert popsicle sticks into popsicle molds. Freeze for at least 8 hours.
